Inground Spa & Hot Tub Installation

A hot tub is usually a portable or above-ground water body. Inground spas, however, are usually built into the ground and attached to a pool. Only a few leisure activities are more relaxing than relaxing in the warm, swirling water of an inground hot tub or spa. The modern pool environment allows homeowners to relax and enjoy the rejuvenating and relaxing benefits of hydrotherapy with inground spas or hot tubs. A bubbly bath not only provides a tranquil and transformative effect but can also make your backyard a stunning landscape.
ABC Pools & Spas are a pool builder that specializes in all types of inground spa additions. These include standalone fiberglass or vinyl liner hot tubs as well as inground gunite spas. We have over 30 years of experience in the industry and can create luxurious opulence in any small backyard.

Building Inground Hot Tubs and Swim Spas

Two basic types of spas include the inground, custom-built variety, and the factory manufactured.

Hot Tubs Installation Process: Most hot tubs come in either a square or round shape.
Hot tub shells: Hot bathtubs come with hard acrylic, thermoplastic, or fiberglass interior shells. The tub's strength and durability are determined by its understructure. It can be made from high-density foam or fiberglass. The surface material is resistant to sanitizing chemicals, and it feels smooth to the touch.
External Cabinets: They are made from either man-made or natural wood. All plumbing lines and utilities are hidden behind the visible exterior cabinet. They need to be maintained as they can fade in the sun.

Hydrotherapy Jets:

  1. Relaxing sensations
  2. Unique massaging actions
  3. Speed, direction, and intensity-adjustments

Additional Features and Accessories:

  1. Lounge seating with footwells
  2. Grab rails
  3. Safety lighting

Inground Spa Installation Procedure

You can also raise or lower an in-ground spa from the pool. It can be built while you are building a new pool or added a spa later.
Phase 1. Digging. We dig the site as per the approved design.
Phase 2. Steel Installation. We install reinforced steel bars and a rebar frame.
Phase 3. Installation of electrical fixtures and plumbing lines.
Phase 4. Gunite. In the excavated hole, the gunite mixture can be pneumatically applied.
Phase 5. Curing. Allow the material to harden into a strong pool shell.
Phase 6. Finish. You can choose from a variety of interior finishes, including colored pebble and quartz aggregate.
Phase 7. Additional features such as LED lighting and hydrotherapy jets are included in the installation, along with tile, coping, and exterior of the pool.

The Advantages of Hot Tubs and Inground Spas

Hot tub hydrotherapy or water circuit therapy is more than a trend in hot tubs, it also offers scientifically supported health benefits.

Better Sleep Quality

To get good quality sleep, it is important to have enough. Soaking in hot water before you go to bed can help you relax. You can get a relaxing hydromassage in a hot tub with between 30 and 100 jets.

Eliminating Toxins and Stress

Warm water (spa, hot tub) can raise the body's temperature. It dilates blood vessels and causes an improvement in circulation. It can also be used to reduce stress.

Proactive Revitalization

You can set up an in-ground spa with built-in features like mood lighting, music, and a waterfall to create the perfect pool ambiance for relaxation. This will also revitalize your body's suppleness.

Rejuvenation & Recovery

Warm hydrotherapy jet massages and the buoyancy of a hot tub can be thrilling. This is because it relieves tension and soothes overworked muscles. The hot tub's energetic pumps can help speed up the healing process of injuries.

Reconnecting and Socializing

Hot tubs are great for socializing with friends and spending time with loved ones. A spa is a trusted friend, whether you are looking for romantic moments with your partner or fun with your children without the need to use a smartphone.

Hot Tubs VS In-ground Spas

Inground Spa with a Swimming Pool
  1. It takes time to love the water.
  2. You can customize your product
  3. Incorporates landscape and pool design
  4. More expensive
  5. Installation by professionals is required.
Standalone hot tub
  1. Higher energy-efficiency
  2. Available as a single unit
  3. Hydrotherapy jets – More
  4. Only if you place the right things in your backyard, it will beautify it.
  5. It is easy to use and quick to put in.

Other Considerations When Buying Inground Hot Tubs & Swim Spas

Operational costs

In-ground spas are more expensive than hot tubs because the water is heated continuously. Winter maintenance can prove to be a headache, especially for custom-designed hot tubs.

Localization

The spa combination and pool do not allow for much flexibility when it comes to placement. However, a hot tub offers more flexibility. For winter cold days, spa owners can have the hot tub placed right next to their backdoor.

Comfort and convenience

It can be difficult to access and exit portable above-ground spas, especially for seniors or people with disabilities. Hot tubs provide ergonomic seating with a variety of options.
