Commercial Swimming Pool Construction in Houston TX

A major crowd-pulling attraction that appears in any hotel facility, fitness center, amusement park, or resort is its commercial swimming pools. Who doesn’t like to relax beside a cool body of water, whether it’s a splash pad at a children’s park or a lazy river at an apartment building? Even though there is a pool right outside your door, a commercial pool in an apartment complex remains a popular gathering spot. The commercial pool construction category includes the construction of a pool for any type of business establishment.

This process is very different from building a residential pool. It should be handled by professionals who have experience in this field. Aqua Blue Pools is a Houston company that has 30 years of experience in commercial pool construction. We have completed projects across the Houston area. We are experts in the construction of new pools and partial remodels. Our services could also include making over existing pools and providing excellent service to schools, gyms, and aquatic therapy centers.

The Commercial Pool Building Process

A commercial pool construction project can take 6-12 weeks depending on its size, requirements, and unique features that enhance the area.
Phase 1: Layout and elevations. Once the plan has been approved, construction can begin. We will set the elevation and lay out the pool.
Phase 2: Excavation. Experienced operators excavate the site after the topsoil has been removed.
Phase 3: Pool base. To increase the structural integrity and strength of the pool, a concrete or stone pool bottom is laid. Through the base are the drain plugs.
Phase 4: Plumbing and equipment. The trench is used to install commercial plumbing systems as well as all electrical conduits.
Phase 5: steel installation. We create a steel framework with rebar that gives the pool maximum strength.
Phase 6: gunite application. We use the nozzle applicator to apply gunite in the entire pool at once, to prevent cracking or cold bonds.
Phase 7: Tile and coping. After the gunite pool shell is cured, we install the cast coping and depth tile. These are the most common options for commercial swimming pools.
Phase 8: Deck and topsoil. We will install your pool deck using the material you choose and then re-spread topsoil to make it ready for landscaping.
Phase 9: Fill and finish. The pool is then filled with water. The water chemistry is balanced, and your pool is ready to be used by your clients.

Commercial Pool Building Advantages

Water parks can have multiple pools or other related features, while most gyms and fitness centers only have one pool. Beautiful exotic pools can increase the property's value and help to increase the company's revenue.

Relaxing setting

Infinity pools are a great option for luxury resorts or exotic holiday homes that are in beautiful locations. A swimming pool spa can be installed by a community health center so that visitors can enjoy the warm jets and sun while they relax.

Exercise is for everyone

Your employees will be motivated to learn more if they see a pool at work every day. This perk allows employees to take a break from work and enjoy a swim after work. Visitors can develop healthier habits and be more active.

Visual Therapy

Your clients will be attracted to a well-maintained commercial swimming pool deck when they enter. A single outdoor pool feature can be added to a small space. There are many options available, including sheer curtains and a naturalistic waterfall with rocks.

Employee satisfaction

Companies are competing to hire the best talent in today's competitive world. You can offer them paid leave, healthcare, and other incentives to attract top talent. Commercial swimming pools are a great way to attract potential employees and keep your best staff.

What is the Difference Between Residential and Commercial Pools?

A commercial pool of similar size is more affordable than a pool that’s located in a single-family residence.
  1. Headcount increases
  2. Cost per square foot is higher
  3. Specifications and design details
  4. Compliance and permits
  5. A circulatory system that can handle a higher bather load
  6. Plumbing planning is complex
  7. Larger commercial-grade equipment

There are other things to consider when building commercial pools

Project Design

Image is a key aspect of any business. Commercial swimming pools must reflect your brand. A commercial pool builder should be able to work with engineers and architects or have a team of people who can design your pool. Before construction starts, make sure you view the options in 3-D.

Permits and inspections

There are many steps involved in commercial pool construction. These include getting approval for the design and layout, inspections, and building permits. A pool builder who offers a complete package will give you peace of mind and allow you to get the best pricing from your suppliers.

Zoning Requirements

There are different rules for commercial pool construction in each state and every locality in the United States. These include pool fence barriers, safety covers, alarms as well as suction
entrapment protection. A pool contractor with extensive knowledge of pool safety and state laws can help you comply.
